Jon McCarty, CFP®

Advisor

“A dead fish can float downstream, but it takes a live one to swim upstream.”

Meet Jon McCarty, CFP®

“At the beginning of my career, it became apparent very quickly that many “financial advisors” were simply just salespeople with a briefcase full of “products”.  I knew right away that the sales approach wasn’t for me; it’s not the way I would want to handle my own financial future and certainly not how I wanted to help people. I wanted people who placed their trust in me to receive truly unbiased, sound financial advice.

Jarred Bunch has been a natural fit for my practice; they have built an amazing model and we’re doing it the right way by creating a world class experience for our clients.  My passion is to help people by being an advocate, teacher and partner in their journey toward reaching their full financial potential.”

Jon has worked in the financial industry since 2005, and in that time, he’s served more than 1,000 households across the United States.   He joined the Jarred Bunch advising team in 2015 and has become one of our key advisors. Jon holds a B.S. in Management and Finance from Purdue University and he lives near Indianapolis with his wife Angie and their three children – Emma, Jack and Adam.  He is a leader in his local church through life group and special needs ministry, and in his spare time he enjoys golfing, biking, outdoor sports and fitness.
